With an impressive 150-year anniversary coming up at Catanach’s Jewellers, this family business and Melbourne institution wanted to celebrate its rich history and showcase its journey thus far. Engaging both new and existing audiences was a priority, solidifying Catanach’s as the go-to for fine jewellery in Melbourne. This passionate family is rightly proud of their lasting legacy and enlisted Kick’s support in developing the best ways to capture and share it to mark the occasion and celebrate all that they’ve achieved.
The Result
Beginning with a team brainstorm session, our approach to this project for Catanach’s Jewellers centred around generating genuine interest and engagement with the story behind their business. We opted for a storytelling approach that not only explored and shared Catanach’s remarkable history, tracing it way back to the 1800s, but also aligned it with Melbourne’s evolution and major world events for the last 150 years.

The website development was structured to read as a timeline, with each section of their story being released over the course of a 12-month period. Spreading the word about this momentous celebration and its campaign was achieved with SMS marketing, electronic direct mail, social media, billboards, and in-store displays — all designed and rolled out by Kick.
This campaign exceeded expectations, driving traffic to Catanach’s online store, growing their email database, and receiving plenty of engagement — including stories from customers and their families adding their own experience with Catanach’s over the years.
